RMAC Baseball: Mavs improve to 20-0 at home with sweep of Metro

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. CMU completed their four-game sweep of Metro State Sunday afternoon with a 5-2 victory, improving the Mavs' record to 27-8 on the year. That also includes a perfect 20-0 at Suplizio Field.

Kyle Davis pitched six innings allowing just one run to pick up his fourth win of the year. Dakota Behr stepped out of his usual closer role to come in for Davis in the 7th inning and get the team out of a jam, striking out two an getting a pop-up with the bases loaded.

CMU had a 3-2 lead heading into the 8th inning until Nate Robertson singled to left, adding a couple insurance runs.

CMU wins by a final of 5-2. They will host their final regular season home series next weekend when they welcome in the Colorado Christian Cougars.
