RMAC Shootout: Lady Mavs surge late, advance to semifinals

It was a tough way for the Mavs to end their schedule: coming up just one game short of a perfect regular season for the second straight year, but they could, in a way, start over Tuesday night in the first round of the RMAC tournament against UC-Colorado Springs.

CMU jumped out to a double digit lead in the first half, but some turnovers and strange foul calls late in the second allowed the Mountain Lions to get back within three points.

The group of seniors put their foot on the gas though, and ran their lead back out, eventually taking the game 70-57.

They're scheduled to play Regis in the semifinals on Friday at Brownson arena at 7:30 PM.

Also released today were the RMAC awards and honors, listed below:

RMAC Coach of the Year:

RMAC First-Team:

Aubry Boehme
