Raptors sweep GJ Rockies in opening series

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Ogden Raptors (LAD) taxed the Grand Junction Rockies (COL) pitching staff enough this series to warrant an appearance on the mound for catcher Drew Beuerlein on Wednesday.

Beuerlein pitched the final 1.1 innings in the series finale against the Raptors. He was one of six pitchers to toe the rubber in the Rockies 13-4 loss on Wednesday.

The Rockies (0-3) are on the road in Idaho Falls on Thursday for the start of a two-game series.

Rumors around the team say that the Colorado Rockies' first round draft pick in 2012, David Dahl, will make his first career start on Thursday.
