GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- One could make the argument that the best all-around football team in the state of Colorado calls Rifle home.
The top-ranked, undefeated Rifle Bears have yet to face an offense they can't shut down. In the first round of the playoffs, they completed their sixth shutout of the season against an Erie team that averaged 34.4 points per game in the regular season.
And there's no question what they can do on offense. Ryan Moeller is second leading rusher in the entire state of Colorado with 2,464 yards. He's second to Derek Jackson of Pueblo Wester (2,765) who is on his way to setting a new state record.
(1)Rifle hosts (8)Roosevelt in the state quarterfinals on Saturday at 1pm.
