GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. After their first scheduled day off since the regular season began on June 16, the Rockies were back to work on Tuesday. They hosted the Missoula Osprey, the first team they've seen from the north division.

Carlos Polanco pitched a very effective game over six innings, allowing just five hits, two runs and striking out four.

He had a great cast behind him in the field as well, including a very solid play from Kevin Padlo at third and Henry Garcia at first.

The Rockies committed no errors Tuesday night.

The offensive assault was led by Matt McBride and Hamlet Marte, each who had RBI's in a three-run third inning.

The Rockies (12-10) take game one of the four-game set with the Osprey (10-12) 5-2.
