GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Todd Helton was every bit as good as advertised in the GJ Rockies 10-5 victory on Thursday.

In his first start with the Grand Junction Rockies the 16-year veteran was 2-for-2 at the plate with a walk and a run batted-in.

Helton is now 7-12 in the Pioneer League when he's played for the Casper Ghosts and GJ Rockies during rehab assignments.

Once Helton left the game in the 5th, the Rockies seemed to be down and out, trailing 5-3 heading into the sixth inning.

That's when Grand Junction exploded for six runs and commanded the rest of the game.

The Rockies are 16-15 and remain two games back of the Ogden Raptors for first in the South Division.
