GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Of course, baseball is not an individual sport, but it's a fact -- the GJ Rockies (COL) are 1-0 with David Dahl in the lineup.
The Rockies earned their first victory of their inaugural season by defeating Idaho Falls (KC) 4-3 on Thursday.
Dahl wasn't the only rookie to shine in his minor league debut. Pine Creek HS graduate, Ryan Warner, registered his first career win. Warner came in as a reliever in the 5th inning and pitched 2.0 innings, allowing one earned run on four hits.
The Rockies improve to 1-3 on the season. They finish the short set in Idaho Falls on Friday, and then come home to face the same team in their home-opening series that starts on Saturday.
