GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Grand Junction Rockies (COL) are venturing into uncharted territory during their first season on the Western Slope.

Tuesday night's 12-7 victory over the Orem Owlz (LAA) sent the Rockies above .500 (5-4) for the very first time in the club's inaugural season.

David Dahl led the Rockies on Tuesday with five RBI while going 3-5 at the plate with two standup triples.

Eddie Butler, the Rockies second pick of the 2012 MLB Draft, also made his minor league debut on Tuesday. He recorded the win after pitching the fourth and fifth innings, and allowing just one run. Butler topped out on his fastball with two consecutive pitches at 97 MPH.

The Rockies go for the sweep of the Owlz on Wednesday night as they conclude their first home-stand of the summer.
