GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Last season, Sharaya Selsor took a medical redshirt to welcome in her first baby girl, but this year, she's all game.

"There was a lot of time I just wasn't confident in the fact that I was going to be able to do it," said junior guard Sharaya Selsor, "and [Katrina] just continued to encourage me that I could do whatever I wanted to do."

Her younger sister Katrina is thrilled to have her back on the team, and together they have helped bring the CMU Lady Mavericks to a 10-0 season midway through.

"Me and Sharaya have obviously played together for our whole lives," said Katrina, "so just having that little bit of extra chemistry, I think that we can contribute a little bit more."

And their coach notices the difference.

"The thing with them is they feed off each other real well," said head coach Taylor Wagner. "They know where each other are going to be."

That's just one of many examples that has helped these ladies go the extra step in communication on the court.

Their next game is on Friday, January 4th at 5:30 PM against Colorado Christian University. To find out more information about the team, follow the link below.
