GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The men's and women's soccer teams from Colorado Mesa suffered the same fortune in the first round of the RMAC tournament on Wednesday.

The sixth seeded Lady Mavericks were shutout by third seeded Metro State, 2-0. Jordan Simkins made two saves for the Roadrunners for her eighth shutout of the year.

Later in the evening, the men's team dropped a 1-0 decision to UC-Colorado Springs.

Both teams will wait for at-large bids to the NCAA Regionals in order to continue playing this fall.
