Top 12 of 2012: GJHS sends Berk, Diamante to Div. I

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The year 2012 gave sports fans all across the state of Colorado something to remember.

Whether it was Peyton Manning becoming a Bronco or, for Western Slope sports fans, the Cedaredge Bruins winning their first state football championship, there's a lot to talk about if you're counting down the best of 2012.

Follow KKCO 11 Sports' roundtable discussion with Jamie Hamilton, Mike Krueger, Jim Davis and Greg Wentzel on what they say is the Top 12 Stories of 2012.

Under the list of KKCO 11 Sports Director Phil Stafford, tied for sixth is Austin Berk and James Diamante moving on to play college football for Division I schools.

Berk will play for the Colorado State Rams, and Diamante will play for the Wyoming Cowboys.

Both will move up to their respective campuses in January to get a head start to their college careers.
