GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The year 2012 gave sports fans all across the state of Colorado something to remember.

Whether it was Peyton Manning becoming a Bronco or, for Western Slope sports fans, the Cedaredge Bruins winning their first state football championship, there's a lot to talk about if you're counting down the best of 2012.

Follow KKCO 11 Sports' roundtable discussion with Jamie Hamilton, Mike Krueger, Jim Davis and Greg Wentzel on what they say is the Top 12 Stories of 2012.

Under the list of KKCO 11 News' Sports Director Phil Stafford, No. 10 is the re-opening of Suplizio Field/Stocker Stadium after undergoing $8.3M renovations.

On May 9, 2012, Grand Junction Mayor Bill Pitts helped officially open the renovated sports complex by cutting the ribbon at the south entrance.

In total, the project took ten months to complete.
