GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Aaron Corwin's first appearance as a Maverick didn't turn out quite as he had hoped.
Corwin, who transferred from Texas Tech, made his first start in the season opener for CMU on Friday.
In 3.2 innings, Corwin surrendered four runs on three hits, three walks and he also hit two batters.
The Mavs bats were quiet until the final frame where they muscled up two runs.
UCSD won by a final of 6-2.
