GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Ben Waldrip has fully stepped into the Pioneer League spotlight after earning the League's Player of the Week award on Monday.
Waldrip found his swing last week after starting out very slow this summer. The 6'6" first-baseman hit for 11-for-23 in six games between July 2nd-8th.
He also added his first four minor league homers and ten runs batted-in.
Waldrip is the second GJ Rockie to earn the honor this season (Ryan Garvey was named the Player of the Week after the first week of the season.)
