Winners of the Alex Bennett Memorial Tournament announced
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The winners of the 9th annual Alex Bennett memorial tournament were announced during halftime of the Mesa Mavs basketball game.
Alex Bennett was just a 15-year-old in high school when he was tragically killed in a car accident. Since that time, the memorial tournament has raised funds for scholarships for local high school and college basketball players.
This year, senior Colton Burgon received the $2,000.00 scholarship.
