GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Julian Yan helped light up the Colorado night sky on Monday with the Grand Junction Rockies (COL) first grand slam in their inaugural season.

The blast came with the Rockies and the Orem Owlz (LAA) tied at three in the bottom of the fifth. Yan unloaded to right-center to give the Rox their final lead of the night.

That wasn't the only firework in the bottom of the fifth, however. Franmy Pena tallied his first homer of the season with a three-run dinger to over the right field wall.

The Rockies held off the Owlz in the remaining innings for the 11-6 victory.

They are now an even 4-4 on the season, with all four wins coming within the last five games.
