1A CHSAA football playoffs: Paonia rolls over Colorado Springs Christian


PAONIA, Colo. (KKCO) Paonia earned themselves a four seed in the 1A CHSAA football playoffs and began their road to Mile High against 13 seed Colorado Springs Christian Saturday.

Despite an opening drive fumble, the Eagles didn't flinch.

Taylor Walter led the way on both sides of the ball, highlighted by a 54 yard touchdown pass to tight end Joel Simianer.

They never looked back and knock off the Lions 34-6.

With the win, the Eagles have won seven straight game and improve to 9-1 on the season.

They'll host number five seed Monte Vista next weekend at a date and time to be determined.
