GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Palisade Bulldogs are known for a fierce ground-and-pound offense, but their defense has stepped up big in the first few weeks of 2012.

The second ranked Bulldogs have allowed 20 points in their first three games of the fall, and they haven't allowed more than a touchdown in each game.

Palisade junior, Dalton Hannigan said on Thursday that he's in the search for a shutout.

"It's more of an accomplishment to hold teams to zero [points]," Hannigan said.

"We've been practicing hard all summer to get to the point that we [are]," he said, "and it's a big accomplishment to be [3-0]."
