GRAND JUNCTION - With a one point lead at the half, the Palisade Bulldogs could not pull away from the Douglas County Huskies in their opening game of the Warrior Challenge on Thursday evening in a 48-40 loss.

The Bulldogs gave up the lead with less than five minutes to go in the game but had opportunities to keep it close. They had a chance to tie the game at 42 from the free throw line but could not convert.

The Bulldogs missed three of their last four free throw attempts and Douglas County capitalized with easy buckets at the other end.

Jake Edmiston also fouled out with uner three minutes to go in the game which hurt the Bulldogs rebounding presence.

Palisade will face Horizon in Friday's opening game at 3:15 p.m. MST.
