WOODLAND PARK, Colo. - An offensive miscue in the final two minutes of the game coughed up any chance at a win as the Palisade Bulldogs fell short by one point against Woodland Park Panthers on Friday night 17-16.
Palisade quarterback Jordan Salazar and running back Jesse Brannon could not make a successful handoff at the Panther's 15 yard line for the game deciding fumble.
The Bulldogs rushed for a team total of 306 yards with Brannon rushing for 181 of that total. Brannon also had 20 yards receiving for 201 yards of total offense.
Palisade's next game will be on Friday, September 4 at Stocker Stadium against Pueblo County. That game will begin at 8:00 p.m.
