Wildcats improve with another win

The Fruita Monument football team remains undefeated on the road this season with a win against the Rangeview Raiders on Friday night 27-15.

Wildcats quarterback Zach Thorpe completed 25 of 31 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Thorpe also led the Wildcats rushing attack with 54 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown.

Deon Clayton and Tyler Daniels combined for 16 receptions against the Raiders. Clayton had seven catches for 78 yards and a toucdown, while Daniels pulled down nine receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Fruita Monument's (2-1) next game is the big rivalry game on Saturday, September 26 against the Grand Junction Tigers at 7:00 p.m. at Stocker Stadium.
