Wildcats earn rivalry shutout on softball field

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Erika Chirdon improved to 7-0 on the season after leading the Fruita Monument Wildcats to a 7-0 win over the Grand Junction Tigers at Bergman Field on Tuesday night.

Chirdon pitched a complete game and struck out eight Tigers in the win.

Jordan Paulson provided some of the offensive support with a solo homer in the fourth inning to give the Wildcats a 4-0 lead at that point. Paulson finished the game 2-4 with the homer and a RBI.
