Tigers Top Wildcats in Soccer

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Tigers got a 2nd half goal from Matt Leach to beat the Wildcats 2-1 at Walker Field on Tuesday night.

Fruita Monument (0-7, 1-10-1) got on the board first when Mason Alpert beat the keeper in the closing minutes of the first half. Grand Junction (7-3, 10-3) answered right back as Tim Hofer netted a goal to tie it at one at the half.

Grand Junction plays at Montrose next Tuesday. Fruita Monument plays at Montezuma-Cortez on Friday.
