Warriors give Fairview scare but fall short in playoffs

BOULDER, Colo. - (KKCO) With one and-a-half quarters left to play in the Central Warriors opening round game of the 5A State Tournament the game was tied with second ranked Fairview 7-7.

The Knights would then tack on two consecutive touchdowns to hand the Warriors a hard fought loss 21-7 on Friday night.

Warriors' (4-6) quarterback Holden Reed led Central with 95 yards rushing on 16 attempts, but his passing game suffered in the loss. Reed completed 10 of 18 passes for only 76 yards and two interceptions.

Fairview (10-0) advances to the round of 16 where they will face Grandview (6-4).
