Panthers ready for run at 3A title

DELTA, Colo. - The Delta Panthers crept under the radar to close out the 2009 season with seven straight wins and finish in second place in the 3A Western Slope League.

The season finishing surge vaulted the Panthers to eigth in the Colorad Preps 3A state rankings, and earned the Panthers the ninth seed in the 3A state playoffs.

Delta's opening round game will be on the road against the D'Evelyn Jaguars on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Trailblazer Stadium.
