GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - (KKCO) One night after losing the opening game of their own tournament on their home floor the Central Warriors got a big win over Douglas County 63-54 on Friday night at the Warrior Challenge.
The Warriors led by as many as 18 points in the third quarter before finishing with the nine point win.
Josh Wells was a big reason why the Warriors picked up the win. He pulled down a flurry of rebounds in the game to go with 13 points. Spencer Hicks scored 10 points for Central.
Central's final game of the Warrior Challenge will be on Saturday against Carbon County at 3:15 p.m.
Douglas County will wrap up the tournament against Fruita Monument on Saturday morning at 11:45.
