Warriors run out of gas against #1 Thunderridge

FRUITA, Colo. - (KKCO) For three quarters on Thursday night the Central girls basketball team hung around with top ranked Thunderridge.

The ninth ranked Warriors didn't have enough left in the tank for the upset victory at the Wildcat Invitational losing to the Grizzlies 50-38.

Senior Amy Kame had a well balanced effort in defeat. She scored 11 points, grabbed five rebounds, swiped six steals and dished out five assists. Haleigh Higgins was the Warriors leading scorer with 12 points.

Central will continue play at the Wildcat on Friday against Palisade at 2:45 p.m.

Thunderridge will take on the Grand Junction Tigers at 6:15 Friday evening.
