Warriors rebound from loss with 56 point win

FRUITA, Colo. - One day after losing to the number one team in the state the Central Warriors responded with a 56 point win over the Palisade Bulldogs 72-16 at the Wildcat Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Senior guard Amy Kame flourished against the Bulldogs defense scoring a game high 29 points in the win. Brittany Hoppe scored 11 points and Tayler Else added 10 points for the Warriors.

Palisade struggled throughout the entire game scoring only six points in the first half and added only two more points in the third quarter. The Bulldogs best quarter was their eight point effort in the fourth.

Olevia Shafer led Palisade with six points and Kendra Barnes scored five in the game.

Palisade will seek its first win of the season on Saturday against Grand Junction at 10:00 a.m. for the Bulldogs final game of the Wildcat Invitational.

Central's final opponent of the Invite will be the Columbine Rebels on Saturday afternoon at 1:30.
