Tigers unable to keep up with #1 Grizzlies

FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) -- Top-ranked Thunderridge scored 14 unanswered points to pull away from Grand Junction for a 61-34 victory at the Wildcat Invitational on Friday night.

The Tigers (2-1) had a 19-18 lead late in the 2nd quarter, but fell behind 30-19 at halftime. Senior Nicole Dohm led the Tigers with 12 points, while sophomore Jamie Derrieux added 9. Brooke Jelniker led the Grizzlies (3-0) with 22 points.

Grand Junction plays its final game of the tournament tomorrow at 10 a.m. against Palisade.
