Lady Tigers edge past Cortez 65-61

CORTEZ, Colo. - (KKCO) All five Grand Junction starters scored in double figures to defeat the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers in the Southwestern League opener on Friday night 65-61.

Paula Lage scored a team high 16 points in the Tigers win. She was followed by Fawn Brady with 14 points, Jamie Derrieux with 13 points, and Stephanie Drake and Nicole Dohm each scored 11 points.

Grand Junction (8-4) will remain on the road for a game against the Durango Demons on Saturday.
