Montrose girls top Tigers, remain unbeaten in SWL

MONTROSE, Colo. (KKCO) -- Hannah Bowden scored a game-high 20 points to pace the Indians past the Tigers 53-43 in a Southwestern League game in Montrose on Friday night.

Montrose (12-3, 3-0) was sparked by Kaylee Walker, who scored 8 straight points for the Indians to start the second half.

Paula Lage led Grand Junction (8-6, 1-2) with 18 points, while Fawn Brady added 16.

The Tigers play at Eaglecrest tomorrow afternoon while the Indians don't play again until Thursday at Central.
