GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- They may not have been signing their official letters of intent on Wednesday morning, but James Diamante and Austin Berk enjoyed re-creating that moment in front of their friends and family.

The two Grand Junction seniors are graduating after the fall semester and moving up to begin their collegiate careers in January of 2013.

Berk will play for the Colorado State Rams and Diamante will be a Cowboy at the University of Wyoming.

The two have played together on the Tigers' varsity football team for the past three years, said Berk.

Now they will compete against each other as rivals in the Mountain West Conference.

"We've always been paired up together and it will stay that way as we go off to college," Berk added.

When it comes to the annual Border War between the CSU and Wyoming, Diamante says it will be fun to face his former teammate.

"We might hang out after the game," Diamante said. "It will be a friendly rivalry."
