CMU Soccer: Conference game against UC Colorado Springs ends in draw

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The Colorado Mesa Mavericks and UC Colorado Springs Mountain Lions faced off in a conference game at Walker Field Monday night.

Both teams made multiple shots on goal, but neither one was able to come through until midway through the first half. The Mountain Lions' Max Thomas was called out on a hand ball, Alan Hernandez sent the penalty kick to the left corner for the 1-0 lead.

Just minutes later UC would respond with a header from James Roberts to put the game into a tie. It would stay that way through the remainder of the game and into double overtime, ending in a draw.
