GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Palisade Bulldogs football team had a few big changes this past season, but they came out as one of the front-runners..
Now it's time for the seniors to move forward in their athletic career. On Thursday four athletes signed their National Letters of Intent, looking to compete at the college level.
All four will end up playing against one another in the same conference, and they're excited for this next step.
"It's pretty cool having it officially decided so I can kind of just roll with it and focus on my school and finish out so I don't have to worry about where I'm going," said Zach Marengo. "It just feels good to officially get it done."
"Stoked that I'm moving on to the next level of football," said Jack Millard. "At the same time I'm going to miss the family that I already had, and it's going to be difficult creating that new family, that bond, but it's just kind of exciting."
"It's bitter-sweet. I love these guys," said Austin Terry. "These guys will always be in my heart. I'll always remember them but it's a great opportunity to be able to move on, get to play on a bigger stage."
"With the change from Coach Arledge to Coach Ramunno I feel like either way we had a great team," said Levi Hoaglund. "The guys that I played with were great, and I think collectively we did really good and it'll be interesting to see how we all do in college separately."
