Girls HS Basketball: Central's rally falls short against Pueblo West

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Cyclones from Pueblo West High School were in town this weekend for some early 2014 basketball. Friday night they lost a close one to the Grand Junction Tigers, which was only their second loss of the year.

Saturday afternoon at Brownson Arena, they jumped out to a big lead on Central. They had a 16 point lead in the third quarter before the Warriors got things rolling.

Led by Amanda Etcheverry, they closed the lead to just four points early in the fourth quarter, but that's when the Cyclones got lethal. Pueblo West put together a 25 point final quarter to oust the Warriors by a final of 61-41. The Warriors fall to 1-8 on the season.
