GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A Grand Junction High School senior is bringing professional grade combine testing to the area.
Austin Lewis organized and participated in the second annual Western Rockies Sports Combine at CMU's facility Saturday morning.
The idea is to give a real combine testing experience to high schoolers for free, without having to travel to places like Denver or Texas to do so.
Included were all the standard tests you'd see pro scouts looking for like the 40 yard dash, vertical leap and bench press.
This year, about 120 participants showed up, which is an increase from last year's 70.
