HS BB: Central's strong start leads to big victory over Poudre

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Central Warriors faced the Poudre Impalas on Wednesday, after a huge first inning the Warriors went on to take a 15-7 win and improve to 3-1.

In the bottom of the first, Tanner Huskey got the scoring started with an RBI single. Following suit, Trey Garcia and Alex Schaneman both delivered RBI triples in the inning as Central went on to score nine runs in their half.

Poudre would be able to answer with a single run, but Jeremy Champlin shut them down quickly ending the top of the second with a strikeout.

Central would tack on a few more runs to finish with a 15-7 victory, improving to 3-1. They will play Rangeview at Canyon View on Friday at 4:00 PM.
