GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Entering Saturday, the Palisade Bulldogs were in third place in the 4A WSL after falling to Delta last week, who is in first place. With just four games remaining in their schedule, Palisade needs to win out to have a good shot at baseball beyond the regular season.

They showed up to play against Battle Mountain who was in town for a doubleheader at Suplizio Field. The Bulldogs shut them out 11-0 in the first game, then one-upped themselves in the second half by shutting the Huskies out again 17-0.

Grand Junction meanwhile is a bit out of the 4A/5A SWL race, but are still playing hard. They fell behind 4-0 in the first inning to Durango.

The Tigers fought back to tie it up, and in the bottom of the seventh inning, a Tyson Zanski RBI walk-off ended the game in an 11-10 victory.
