GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. It took until the fifth inning before either team got on the board in a pitcher's duel, but the Tigers got the job done, led by a great outing from Ty Dixon.
The game was scoreless until Dillon Fante muscled a single through the right side of the infield, scoring Kaleb Johnson. Fante would later add a two-run triple to right field. Anthony Johnson also had a two-RBI single.
Dixon was replaced in the top of the seventh inning after walking the lead-off man, but was nearly perfect tonight, throwing six innings of two-hit baseball. Grand Junction went on to win it 5-1.
They will play Rangeview Saturday morning.
