GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Grand Junction Tigers have promoted Isaac Madison to the boys basketball head coaching spot, taking over for the long-tenured Dutch Johnson.

The Tigers are coming off a 21 win season where they advanced to the second round of the CHSAA 5A playoffs.
Madison is a recognized face around the gym, as he's spent 11 years in Grand Junction, including the last seven as the freshman coach.

The other coaching vacancy was at Palisade, but has been filled by Jeremiah Baskin, who's coached the JV program the last two seasons.

Palisade graduated nearly its entire team last year, and will only have two returning players to the varsity team.
