GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) While many football fans tuned in to Thursday Night Football, tomorrow night at ten we'll get a week three look at our local teams on the Friday Night Blitz. Some teams look to keep up their win streak while others just look for a chance to climb out of their slump.
For the Palisade Bulldogs they're 2-0 overall, set to play Montezuma-Cortez tomorrow night on the road.
This game holds big implications for both teams. Each one started with a win in the WSL, meaning one of the teams is going to finish with their first conference loss and no longer have a shot at that undefeated season.
If history repeats itself, the Bulldogs should end with an easy victory, but they're not letting the past dictate their future.
"Our biggest concern is their line, they have a really good O-line," said senior tight end Jack Millard. "They're really big up front and we can't underestimate any team. From everybody's perspective we've got to look at them as they're looking to beat us and they're a really good team."
"We need to get better on defense, just everybody getting to the ball every single play," said junior linebacker Cody Latham. "Offensively we've got to keep getting our snaps every single time focus on keeping the ball in our hands."
