GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The CHSAA football committee will get a fresh face in the chairman position -- Palisade HS athletic director Mike Krueger.

"It's pretty exciting for the Western Slope just because we can give our perspective and offer that up and drive the format and the direction of the committee," he said. "You kind of establish that, but you work hand-in-hand with everybody across the state."

For the 2013 season, he hopes to see more consistency in the classifications. One of his biggest priorities as chairman will be to get an adjustment to the wild-card point table to make it similar to that of the NCAA.
