GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Central Warriors already have more wins after three games than they did all of last season. One.

Their win came against Delta last weekend in the Warrior Challenge. It was the program's first win in over 19 months and the first win for Ryan Hayden since he became the Warriors head coach in 2011.

"We just have to put it behind us," said senior Preston Grandbouche on Monday. Grandbouches says he knows his team has the talent to put up a much better record.

But, there's no denying it, that first win was a big hurdle for this group of high school athletes.

"It felt good," said junior center Trey Fair. "Knowing we could it. Now we can just focus on the next few games and hopefully get a couple more [wins]."

The Warriors play Roosevelt on Thursday.
