GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- There are only three seniors and four juniors on the Central Warriors' wrestling team.

Seven total upperclassmen on the squad means that head coach Laurence Gurule will have to push his team to perform at a higher level than their experience on the mat might warrant.

Gurule has a lot of help from his top performers, though, to give him a hand.

State qualifiers Jacob Rubalcaba, a junior, and Caleb Hendricks, a senior, both admit that a lot of leadership responsibilities have fallen on their shoulders.

This past weekend the Warriors finished with a 4-1 record in the Maverick Duals. A performance that Gurule said he was extremely pleased with.
