GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- To be honest, the Wildcats chances to win the SWL prior to the start of league play wasn't very high.

Then, Fruita Monument pulled out a momentous win over Grand Junction. After a loss to Montrose last week, however, the Wildcats are back to holding out hope - this time for a spot in the playoffs.

Fruita closes out the regular season at Durango on Friday.

Prior to Friday's game, the Wildcats are 40th in the Class 5A playoff rankings. The top 32 teams at the end of the season get into the postseason.
