GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Devin Bonin started the night off right for the No. 10 Gordon Highlanders, and the bottom-seeded team in the tournament never looked back from there.
Bonin hit a leadoff home run, and Gordon eventually beat No. 8 San Jacinto 9-7. The Highlanders also used a big six-run fourth inning to give themselves a comfortable lead. Gordon is now the only undefeated team left in the 2012 JUCO World Series.
Gordon moves onto play No. 1 Iowa Western on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. San Jac will play No. 9 Shelton State in an elimination game on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
