JUCO GM 1: Iowa Western 2, San Jacinto 5
GRAND JUNCTION, Co. (KKCO)-- The 2012 JUCO World Series kicked off with a rematch of the 2010 Championship game, as San Jacinto upset the top-ranked Iowa Western Reivers 5-2.
Daniel Stumpf pitched a complete game against No. 1 Iowa Western allowing just two runs on five hits. The Gators lead-off hitter, Reggie Wilson hit a home run and scored two of San Jac's five runs.
No. 8 San Jac moves into the winner's bracket and will play No. 5 Neosho County on Monday.
