GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The San Jacinto Gators are headed back to the JUCO World Series for the 22nd time in their team's history.
The Gators beat last year's champs, the Navarro Bulldogs, 1-0 on Thursday. With the win, San Jac brings the title of the most successful junior college baseball program to GJ. They have not only been to Suplizio nine times since the turn of the millennium, but they have also won five national championships and have been the runner up seven times.
They are the fourth team to qualify for the 2012 JUCO World Series.
