GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Take another ticket off the wall. Shelton State CC of Tuscaloosa, Ala., punched their ticket to the 4th JUCO in the school's history on Friday.

Shelton St. defeated the top seed in the Southeastern Regional, Wallace St-Hanceville, 4-1 to advance to the 55th JUCO World Series.

The Buccaneers are the 5th team to qualify for the 10-team tournament, which starts on Saturday, May 26th.

Their highest achievement in the tournament was the 2008 World Series when the Bucs finished as national runner-up to Grayson College. That was the second year of a 3-year span where Shelton State didn't miss a JUCO appearance.

This is the first year back to Grand Junction for the Bucs since 2009.
