GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The Mesa County Junior Football Association kicked off their annual Super Bowl games.

Tuesday night, the fifth and sixth grade divisions faced off to become the 2013 champion. In fifth grade, the Broncos ousted the Chiefs 21-12 in the early game. Then came the sixth graders.

Both teams started off on top of their game. Two early turnovers - one from Chargers' Cameron Pollard and one from Raiders' Zac Coleman - landed the ball back in the Raiders hands. They were able to push down the field allowing Kole Taylor an easy touchdown run for the first score of the game.

The Chargers were quick to respond. Aden Dangler handled the ball on his own, taking it down the sideline for a 50-yard touchdown run to tie up the game at eight. That score wouldn't stand for very long.

They quickly got the ball back and added eight more, eventually going on to take the win 40-16.

The lightweight and heavyweight divisions will play Wednesday at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
